The NYSRS is an affiliate state society recognized by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and collaborates with the ACR and other medical societies and organizations to promote the best interests on behalf of our patients and our subspecialty.

The New York State Rheumatology Society represents the common interests of a majority of the rheumatologists treating rheumatoid arthritis and other musculoskeletal diseases in New York.

Our mission is to provide advocacy for our patients with rheumatologic illnesses and to promote standards of excellence for high-quality rheumatology care.

The NYSRS is an affiliate of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and works with the ACR on advocacy issues as well as cooperates with other medical societies and organizations, such as the MSSNY, the ACP, and the Arthritis Foundation on behalf of our sub-specialty and our patients.
